US Amateur champion Whaley named in GB&I Walker Cup squad two days after Merion win

Jack Whaley, who beat Jay Leng Jr 4&3 to win the US Amateur at Merion — becoming only the third Englishman to do so since 1911 — was named in GB&I's 10-man Walker Cup squad. The 22-year-old Florida State student is one of four new faces. GB&I face the US at Lahinch on 5–6 September, chasing a first Walker Cup win since 2015.
