Both young leads of Disney's Ice Princess now dead within 18 months

Hayden Panettiere died on 16 August 2026 at 36; Michelle Trachtenberg died in February 2025 at 39. Their 2005 Disney film Ice Princess trended on social media as people noted both leads were gone. Director Tim Fywell told Variety Panettiere was "brave, sparky, dedicated" and Trachtenberg had "an infectious laugh and brilliant sad-funny comic timing."
