Shakira's $1.25m Colombia quake pledge backed by Live Nation, FIFA fund and CAF

Shakira pledged $1.25 million through her Barefoot Foundation to rebuild 10 schools and a university in Chocó, Colombia, after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake on 10 August 2026. Funding split: $500,000 from Shakira and Live Nation, $500,000 from the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, and $250,000 from CAF, the development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
