David Warner convicted of drink-driving, fined A$1,500 at Sydney court
Former Australia opener David Warner was convicted of mid-range drink-driving at Waverley Local Court in Sydney on 18 August 2026 and fined A$1,500. He blew more than twice the legal limit at a random breath test on Easter Sunday, having consumed three glasses of wine. Children were in the car, which the court treated as an aggravating factor. Warner, 39, cooperated once police identified him as the driver.
