Sony's "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has crossed $2 billion at the global box office, becoming only the eighth film to reach that mark and the second-fastest to do so, per Deadline (August 18). In the domestic market — the United States and Canada — its third weekend delivered $70 million, the second-best third frame on record, Rotten Tomatoes reported.
