Wolves legend Mike Bailey dies aged 84

Former Wolves captain Mike Bailey has died aged 84 after living with Alzheimer's disease, the club confirmed on 17 August 2026. Over 11 seasons at Molineux he made 436 appearances, lifted the League Cup in 1974 and reached the UEFA Cup final in 1972. The midfielder earned two England caps. Wolves called him "a true leader at Molineux for over a decade."
