California rejects Paramount's $1.88 billion bond demand in Warner Bros. merger fight

California AG Rob Bonta rejected Paramount's request for a $1.88 billion bond from the 12-state coalition suing to block its $110 billion Warner Bros. merger. Bonta called the demand a "do-over" on a delay agreement Paramount signed with no bond requirement. Paramount says it faces $1.7 billion in ticking fees plus $190 million in financing costs. Trial starts March 2.
