Round Hill Music sues Suno and Anthropic over alleged unauthorised use of 500-plus songs

Round Hill Music filed copyright lawsuits against AI companies Suno and Anthropic on 17 August, alleging unauthorised use of over 500 songs including 'Iris' by the Goo Goo Dolls and 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' by Bonnie Tyler to train AI models, with potential damages exceeding $1 billion. CEO Josh Gruss said the company intends to take both cases to trial.
