CNN locks in all three prime-time anchors as Paramount takeover nears

CNN signed a new deal with Abby Phillip, the last of its three prime-time anchors to renew, according to Variety (17 August 2026). Anderson Cooper renewed in 2025; Kaitlan Collins has years remaining. The signings close as Paramount Skydance's $111 billion acquisition of parent Warner Bros. Discovery moves toward completion. CNN does not comment on talent contracts.
