MCASD names Brett Littman director, silent on his unexplained 2023 Noguchi Museum exit

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego named Brett Littman its fifth-ever director and CEO, effective October. His hiring ends a six-month search to replace Kathryn Kanjo, who left in January for UC Irvine's Langson Orange County Museum of Art. MCASD's announcement did not address Littman's abrupt, unexplained June 2023 departure from the Noguchi Museum, where he had doubled the operating budget.
