York throw new signing Doyle straight in against league leaders Leeds

York Knights signed hooker Thomas Doyle, 27, as a free agent until the end of the 2027 season, days after he left Wakefield Trinity by mutual consent on 12 August. Doyle went straight into contention for York's home match against Super League leaders Leeds. Head coach Mark Applegarth called him "a tough, no-nonsense player hungry to improve."
