Bow Echo retired to stud after training setback

Bow Echo, the unbeaten 2,000 Guineas winner and world's top-rated three-year-old on a mark of 127, has been retired to stud after suffering a training setback. Trained by George Boughey, the colt stood just 4lb behind the joint top-rated older horses, Ka Ying Rising and Ombudsman. His departure thins the three-year-old division days before York's Ebor festival.
