Emmy Final-Round Voting Opens: The Pitt Eyes Rare Back-to-Back Drama Win as Comedy Crown Is Wide Open
Final-round voting for the 78th Emmys opened August 17, with over 20,000 Television Academy members voting through August 26. Reigning drama champion The Pitt could become the 11th drama to win for its first two seasons — the first since Mad Men (2008–09). Comedy series is guaranteed a new winner: last cycle's champion The Studio is not in contention. NBC airs the ceremony September 14.
