
Pope Leo XIV Names Princess Gisela of Liechtenstein to Vatican Finance Council
Pope Leo XIV has appointed Princess Gisela of Liechtenstein, 36, to the Vatican's Council for the Economy, which oversees all Holy See finances. Gisela, a second cousin once removed of reigning Prince Hans-Adam II, is CEO of a Liechtenstein royal family wealth management firm and holds an environmental engineering degree from ETH Zurich. The 15-member council was created in 2014 to bring transparency to Vatican finances.
