Hunt completes unprecedented quadruple gold as Britain sets European record in inaugural mixed relay

Great Britain and Northern Ireland won the inaugural mixed 4x100m relay at the Birmingham 2026 European Championships in a European record of 39.97 seconds on 16 August. The gold made Amy Hunt the first athlete to win four golds at a single edition — 100m, 200m, women's 4x100m and mixed 4x100m. Dina Asher-Smith, her relay teammate, reached a record 11 European Championships medals across the week.
