Alan Cumming takes to Pitlochry stage for first time as artistic director

Alan Cumming stars in A History of Paper at Pitlochry Festival Theatre from 9 August to 13 September 2026 — his first acting role there since becoming the venue's artistic director. Shirley Henderson co-stars. Cumming programmed the musical into his debut season after seeing it at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe. It then transfers to Dundee Rep, 16–19 September, where all four performances are sold out.
