Council orders Pippa Middleton to remove unauthorised car park at Barton Court

West Berkshire Council has ordered Pippa Middleton to remove a car park built without planning permission on the grounds of Barton Court, her 145-acre Kintbury estate on the Wessex Downs, a designated National Landscape. Her retrospective application and July appeal were dismissed. Planners called the hardstanding a "visually intrusive and urbanised feature" and cited risks to the River Kennet chalk stream.
