'Once Upon a Time in the Middle East' leads China box office with $134.1 million cumulative

Wen Muye's comedy-drama grossed $70.3 million over the Aug 14-16 frame in China, per Artisan Gateway data reported by Variety. Starring Shen Teng, the Dirty Monkeys–Damai production has cumed $134.1 million since its Aug 11 rollout, including $15 million in previews. It topped Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey', which opened to $28.4 million.
