Bob Iger named first executive inducted as a Disney Legend

Bob Iger, 75, was inducted as a Disney Legend at the D23 ceremony at the Honda Center in Anaheim on 16 August 2026, Variety reports. He is the first corporate executive ever to receive the honour, previously reserved for animators, Imagineers and on-screen talent. Robert Downey Jr., Harrison Ford, Ellen Pompeo and Diane Sawyer honoured him on stage. Iger's successor as CEO, Josh D'Amaro, delivered the introduction.
