Amy Hunt wins four European golds at a single championships — a first for any athlete

Amy Hunt became the first athlete to win four European gold medals at a single European Athletics Championships, doing so at Birmingham 2026 on home soil. The fourth came in the inaugural mixed 4x100m relay on 16 August, alongside Jeremiah Azu, Dina Asher-Smith and Zharnel Hughes. No athlete across the championship's history had previously managed four golds at one edition.
