
Johnson Endures Five-Hour Daily Prosthetics for Safdie's 'Lizard Music'
Dwayne Johnson announced at D23 on 16 August 2026 that production has begun on Benny Safdie's 'Lizard Music,' an adaptation of Daniel Pinkwater's novel for Amazon MGM's United Artists label. Johnson undergoes five hours of prosthetic makeup daily to play the Chicken Man, a septuagenarian. Kazu Hiro, Oscar-nominated for 'The Smashing Machine,' designed the ageing effects. Release is set for Summer 2027.
