Scotland appoint Pocognoli as head coach on two-year deal

Scotland have named Belgian Sébastien Pocognoli as their new men's head coach on a two-year contract, the Scottish FA confirmed on 16 August 2026. The 37-year-old former Monaco and Union Saint-Gilloise coach succeeds Steve Clarke, who spent seven years in the role. Pocognoli, previously named Belgian Coach of the Year, won 13 caps as a left-back.
