Selby wins China Open with new cue after 20 years with the same one

Mark Selby beat Noppon Saengkham 10-6 to win his fourth China Open title in Taiyuan on 16 August 2026, collecting £250,000 and rising from ninth to fifth in the world rankings. The 43-year-old did it with a cue he picked up at the start of the season — his first change of instrument in 20 years.
