Paul Wright's second narrative feature in 13 years reunites him with George MacKay at Edinburgh
Paul Wright, BAFTA winner for his 2010 short 'Until the River Runs Red,' has directed only two narrative features in 13 years — both starring George MacKay. 'Mission,' his first since 2013's 'For Those in Peril,' had its competition premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on 15 August 2026, according to Variety. Between the two features, Wright made just one film: the 2017 archival documentary 'Arcadia.'
