The Hundred will stay 100-ball, say new investors and tournament executives

Senior executives Aakif Banerjee and Tom Gidney say private investors in The Hundred do not want the competition converted to T20. Banerjee called the 100-ball format the tournament's identity; Gidney said its uniqueness appeals to broadcasters. Stakes in all eight teams sold for over £500m, placing a combined enterprise value of just over £975m. Deals are due for renewal ahead of the 2028 season.
