Leeds agree £8.5m deal for Switzerland defender Nico Elvedi

Leeds have agreed an £8.5m deal to sign Nico Elvedi from Borussia Mönchengladbach — £6.8m up front, £1.7m in add-ons. The 29-year-old, capped 73 times by Switzerland, is due in England for a medical on Monday. Manager Daniel Farke expects completion within 48 hours. Elvedi ends an 11-year stay at Mönchengladbach on a three-year contract. Leeds open at Nottingham Forest next Saturday.
