'Forgotten Spaceman' heads to Toronto after Locarno's Leopard of Tomorrow win

BAFTA-nominated Elham Ehsas's documentary short 'Forgotten Spaceman' is set for its North American premiere at the Toronto Film Festival after winning the Leopard of Tomorrow (International Competition) at Locarno on 9 August. The film profiles Abdul Ahad Momand, Afghanistan's only astronaut, who spoke Pashto from Mir in 1988 — the fourth language ever used in space (Variety, 16 August).
