King Charles and Prince William face a combined bill of up to £10 million to bring rental properties on their private estates to EPC band C, the standard the UK government will require of all private landlords by 2030. A Guardian investigation found 630 properties on the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall and the Sandringham estate fall short. Non-compliance risks fines of £30,000 per home.
