Disney to open Monstropolis land in 2027 with its first-ever suspended rollercoaster

Disney confirmed at D23 that Monstropolis, a Monsters, Inc.-themed land, will open at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida in 2027, Variety reports. Construction is already underway. The land will feature the first suspended rollercoaster — hanging riders beneath the track — Disney has built at any park worldwide, launching guests 40 feet in four seconds.
