Green Day-inspired comedy 'Nimrods' opens on 1,000+ US screens

Inaugural Entertainment opened "Nimrods," an R-rated Green Day-inspired road-trip comedy, on over 1,000 US screens on 14 August 2026, per The Hollywood Reporter. Lee Kirk wrote and directed; Mason Thames and McKenna Grace star. All three Green Day members appear. Songs for the fictional band Analog Dogs were written by Jakob Armstrong, son of Billie Joe Armstrong.
