Sunderland agree £25.6m fee for Toulouse left-back Methalie

Sunderland have agreed a £25.6m fee with Toulouse for 20-year-old French left-back Dayann Methalie, BBC Sport reports. The deal — £23.9m plus £1.7m in add-ons — awaits a medical. Methalie made 28 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring twice in his final three games. Only one signing, right-back Thomas Meunier, has been completed so far ahead of Sunderland's first European campaign in 53 years.
