Groening says The Simpsons: Hit & Run "is coming back in some form"; showrunner walks it back

At Disney's D23 event on 15 August 2026, Matt Groening said of the 2003 GTA-style spin-off The Simpsons: Hit & Run: "I think the original game is coming back in some form." Showrunner Matt Selman replied "...or not." Original developer Radical Entertainment has rebranded as New Radical Games, a remastering studio featuring Hit & Run on its website. No return has been officially confirmed.
