Rangers sign James Penrice on loan from AEK Athens

Rangers have signed Scottish left-back James Penrice, 27, on loan from Greek champions AEK Athens, subject to international clearance. The Scottish Sun reports a £400,000 loan fee with a £1.3m option to buy. Penrice made 32 appearances last season as AEK won their 14th Greek title. Belgian defender Tuur Rommens's groin injury — up to seven weeks out — left the position thin.
