Diego Luna's "Ashes" Heads Morelia's Expanded Fiction Competition

Diego Luna's fifth film as director, "Ashes," leads twelve fiction features competing for the El Ojo award at the 24th Morelia International Film Festival, running October 16–25. "Ashes" world-premiered at Cannes and was acquired by Netflix for Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Selection committee member Rafael Aviña said the festival expanded its fiction slate from eight to twelve titles after receiving 68 submissions.
