Hull City sign Gelhardt and Gourna-Douath as summer overhaul hits 11 arrivals

Hull City have signed forward Joe Gelhardt from Leeds for £6.5m, per The Athletic, and midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath from Red Bull Salzburg for around £2.9m, per Sky Sports. Both completed permanent moves on 15 August 2026, becoming Hull's 10th and 11th signings since promotion back to the Premier League. Gelhardt scored 14 Championship goals last season, including the play-off tie-clincher against Millwall.
