Blue Bloods showrunner rejects O'Reilly's 'woke' label for spin-off Boston Blue

Blue Bloods showrunner Kevin Wade pushed back on Bill O'Reilly's claim that CBS spin-off Boston Blue is a "woke version" of the original. O'Reilly called the cast's ethnic diversity "woke" versus Blue Bloods' "Irish Catholic traditional" family. Wade said he is "happy for them" and "root[s] for it," crediting Blue Bloods' longevity to giving "both sides" equal weight.
