SPNI to launch Sony Vizha, its first dedicated Tamil general entertainment channel, in October

Sony Pictures Networks India has set an October launch for Sony Vizha, its first dedicated Tamil-language general entertainment channel. The name was unveiled on 15 August through Tamil Nadu's state song. Flagship programming includes "Celebrity MasterChef Tamil" and "Tamil Idol," hosted by A.R. Rahman. SPNI's 29-channel network reaches over 700 million viewers across 150 countries.
