Mexico clears Paramount–Warner Bros. merger, completing all 69 international approvals

Mexico's competition authority became the 69th and final international regulator to clear Paramount Skydance's $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, Variety reported on 14 August 2026. The EU, China, Canada, Brazil and the U.K. had already signed off. Only U.S. litigation remains: 12 states and the Writers Guild of America are suing to block the deal, with trial set for 2 March 2027.
