The Guggenheim Museum in New York filed suit in New York State Supreme Court to recover Picasso's "Femme dans un fauteuil" (1918), reported missing on 6 February 1961 while on loan to the museum. The lawsuit, filed against a Massachusetts couple, seeks the painting's return plus US$3.5 million in damages. The museum repaid an insurance payout before filing.
