Frieze Seoul moves to DDP in 2027; KIAF stays at COEX, splitting the paired fair week

Frieze Seoul will relocate from the COEX convention centre in Gangnam to the Zaha Hadid-designed Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in 2027, driven by an 18-month COEX renovation, Frieze announced on 14 August 2026. KIAF Seoul, Frieze's partner fair since 2022, will remain at COEX — splitting the two fairs across venues for the first time. The fairs will continue collaborating on ticketing and programming, according to Frieze's press release. Whether collectors shuttling between Gangnam and Dongdaemun find friction or energy is a question the 2027 market will answer.
