Amazon MGM Develops Tentpole Film Around Squishmallows Toy Brand

Amazon MGM is developing a tentpole family film around Squishmallows, licensing rights and co-producing with creator Jazwares, Variety reported on 14 August 2026. Beau Flynn, whose credits include Disney's Moana and Jungle Cruise, produces through FlynnPictureCo. The plush brand has sold over 600 million units since 2017 and spans more than 3,000 characters across 60 countries. No release date, director or cast is set.
