Federal Judge Orders Google to Fix Play Store Rival App Store Access Within One Week

US District Judge James Donato ordered Google to remove what he called "anticompetitive friction" from third-party app store discovery in the Play Store. Searching "store for apps" returns Walmart, not competing app stores. Google had replaced Aptoide's "Install" button with "View." Donato gave Google one week to fix search results and installation flows. Google agreed.
