Italy's Carabinieri recover Cézanne, Matisse and Renoir stolen from Fondazione Magnani Rocca

Italy's Carabinieri recovered three paintings by Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse and Pierre-Auguste Renoir on 14 August 2026, five months after thieves broke into the Fondazione Magnani Rocca near Parma on the night of 22–23 March. Nine people are under investigation; none has been formally charged. The works, including Cézanne's "Tasse et Plat de Cerises," are valued at over €9 million (US$10 million).
