First-time collectors sue London's Alison Jacques gallery over cancelled £264,000 Sjöö sale

Yoed and Natasha Anise paid £264,000 for three Monica Sjöö paintings from London's Alison Jacques gallery on 6 October 2023. Days after a dinner at Modern Art Oxford, the estate rescinded the sale over remarks Natasha Anise made. The gallery counterclaims it was misled about the buyers' credentials. Trial is set for Central London County Court, March 2027.
