Ewan McGregor says he wants to play Obi-Wan Kenobi again

Ewan McGregor told an Edinburgh International Film Festival audience on 14 August 2026 that he wants to reprise Obi-Wan Kenobi: "I hope so! I really would like to do it again" (The Hollywood Reporter). No Lucasfilm or Disney+ project involving McGregor has been announced. He last played the role in the 2022 Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
