Frontières launches standalone genre market at TIFF 2026 after 100-plus submissions

Frontières, Fantasia's international genre co-production market, will run a standalone showcase during TIFF 2026 in Toronto, September 10–20. Over 100 submissions came in for five slots; organisers expanded to seven. Fantasia deputy director Tania Morissette told Variety the calibre made selection difficult. The showcase targets co-producers, sales agents and buyers across financing, production and post-production stages.
