
British cyclist Finlay Tarling dies aged 19 after Volta a Portugal crash
British cyclist Finlay Tarling has died aged 19 after a crash on stage eight of the Volta a Portugal, a 166.8km route from Melgaço to Fafe. His NSN Development Team confirmed the death. Tarling, a Welsh rider who represented Great Britain on road and track, was the younger brother of Ineos Grenadiers rider Joshua Tarling, the UCI World time trial champion. The stage was neutralised and the podium ceremony cancelled.
