Italy recovers Renoir, Cézanne and Matisse works stolen from Magnani-Rocca Foundation in March

Italy's Carabinieri art theft squad, the TPC, has recovered three paintings stolen on 22 March 2026 from the Magnani-Rocca Foundation, a villa museum south of Parma. The works — Renoir's Les Poissons (1917), Cézanne's Still Life with Cherries (c. 1890) and Matisse's Odalisque on the Terrace (1922) — were found in prosecutor-ordered searches. The Carabinieri valued them at €9 million (US$9.8 million) and released no further details.
