EMF keyboardist and co-founder Derry Brownson dies at 55

EMF announced on 14 August 2026 that co-founder and keyboardist Derry Brownson had died at 55. The band shared the news on Instagram. BBC Gloucestershire reported Brownson had been diagnosed with a brain tumour; Billboard had not independently confirmed the death or cause. Brownson co-founded EMF in Cinderford in 1989. He is the second original member to pass away, following bassist Zac Foley.
