Coe: Birmingham's empty seats won't harm London's 2029 World Championships bid
World Athletics president Sebastian Coe played down suggestions that sparse early-week crowds at the Birmingham European championships could damage London's bid for the 2029 worlds. He cited sellout stadiums at the 2012 Olympics and 2017 World Championships. The World Athletics Council votes next month among London, Munich, Nairobi and Rome. Coe will not have a vote.
